"I work from a back ground in traditional fibre arts -working in tapestry, needlework weaving and spinning. The language of fibre, its history as a humble craft and domestic echoes inspire me. I want to take that language and use it in new ways to tell a new story. Antique quilts are all about stories - the stories of the people who wore the fabric - the hand of the woman who pieced it together - the tracery of the quilt stitching is yet another story - a subtext"
