One night Aengus had a dream of a
beautiful woman. He fell in love with her and swore that he
would never marry anyone else. She was finally found on a lake
called the Dragon's Mouth, the daughter of a prince of
Connacht. When approached for her hand, the prince said he
could do nothing to compel her, she must be asked herself. She
was a swan maiden, a swan one year, and a woman the next. On
November first (Samhain) Aengus went and told Caer of his love
for her. She changed him into a swan and they flew away
together singing a song. Anyone who heard the song slept for

combination of sterling and fine silver.
