2008: Presented paper "The Thread of Meaning: A Reflection on Interdisciplinarity" at the "New Media and the Global Diaspora" Plenary Conference at Roger Williams University in Bristol, RI

2007: Serving on the Programming Committee for the Metal Arts Guild, hosting workshops in the Take Control of Your Career series:  "Finding Your Niche" and "Border Crossing"

2006: Presented paper "The Provocative Object: The Persistence of Celtic Imagery" at the American Conference of Irish Studies in St Louis Missouri with Laura Travis and Karin Weber

2003: Artistic Director of the 6th Annual Celtic Women International Conference "Celtic Routes" at Harbourfront Centre.

2001-3: Serving as Director on the Board of Celtic Women International (VP in 2002)

2001: Artistic Director of the first International Invitational Art Exhibition at a Comhaltas Convention. Held in conjunction with the North American Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eirann Convention in Toronto

2001-1999: artistic co-director of Ceili Naomh Brigid (with Gerry Crowe and Daithi Connaughton) fund raising Celtic concert, silent Celtic Art Auction, raffle and Ceili for Matthew 25, a charity that raises the children of prostitutes outside of the red light district near Calcutta, India, and teaches them, and their mothers, other trades.

1999: founding member of Celtic artist collective An Droichead/The Bridge.

1998-1999: served as Artistic Director for the Then & Now: A Celtic & Medieval Exposition 1998 and 1999, a festival that includes lectures, music and an art exhibition.

1997: published an article on my experiences exploring my heritage in Canadian Journal of Woman Studies/Les Cahiers de la Femme Vol. 17, No.3

1996: served on Community Advisory Board for Harbourfront's "Celtic Ceili".

1992: acted as artistic consultant for the Irish Canadian Aid and Cultural Society's presentation of "The Spirit of Ireland" a photographic exhibition of the Irish in Canada at City Hall in Toronto.

1991-1993: designed and assisted with construction of floats for the St.Patrick's Day Parades.

1982: Pelican Players, Toronto, Ontario- Assisted with writing and performed in multi-cultural production "Reflections in Red". Also participated in design and making of sets.

1982: Assisted Siobhan McCooey and Sorel Etrog in design and construction of costumes and set for the James Joyce Centenary sponsored by the Celtic Stidies Department, University of Toronto.

1980-1984: Acted in and assisted with design and construction of sets and costumes for several productions with the Toronto Irish Players.

1979: Assisted with design, making and dressing of sets; and making costumes, during eleven productions of the Kawartha Summer Theatre, Lindsay, Ontario

Since 1981 I have been a professional singer of Irish Traditional music and have produced two independent albums "This Ancient Fabric" and "Dark is the Colour".
